Supervision isn’t something you sign up to when you’ve got it all figured out or an ethical tick box exercise. It’s for coaches who care enough to want to do their work well, feel confident in their practice and be around for a looong time not just a fun time (we do both over here!) If you love coaching but sometimes think, “I wish I had somewhere I could actually talk this stuff through,” welcome home!!
What supervision can be used for:- When you get to the end of a week of coaching and genuinely think, what the hell am I even doing?!
- Picking apart the relationship with that client you know you wouldn't go for coffee with despite wanting 'besties' for clients.
- When a client is stuck, you feel like you've tried everything and now you're like?????
- The day someone asks to leave a contract and you’re trying to be ethical without feeling like Scammy Sammy with a Netflix documentary.
- Moments where you realise you aren't doing the things you're telling your clients to do and question getting a job at Aldi.
- When a client keeps cancelling, disengaging, or going nowhere and you’re stressed AF because you've got a wedding to pay for and florists don't accept payment in good vibes.
- Contracts coming to an end and not knowing how to say goodbye without it feeling awks or icky.
- When you’ve said the word coach so many times it no longer feels like a real word and someone asking “so what do you do?” sends you into a tiny existential crisis.
- When you’re holding a lot of other people’s *stuff* and then you're own shit happens and you just cannot carry it all anymore but have no where to put it all down.
And all the other ethical, coach-y stuff in between.
