The coach who understands what building a life of extrinsic success does to our minds

WHAT I'M ABOUT

I've been building brands in the online world since before it was cool (throwback to LittleJemsx in 2012!) I later built an agency, grew it, burned out spectacularly, and closed it chaotically. Then I did what any totally normal high-achieving good girl would do: went back to university, got a MSc in Coaching & Positive Psychology, trained as a coach, got accredited, and came back to the online space this time with the psychology to actually understand what had happened that caused the joy to drain from my life and be replaced with burnout (which I was also seeing so often in my clients btw!)

That combination of lived experience and clinical training wrapped up in something that looks a bit like if Elle Woods was a psychologist is what I'm all about. Most coaches in this space haven't spent 14 years training in psychology (don't ask me about my student debt because I will cry) and most psychologists haven't built an online-facing brand, lost one, and rebuilt from scratch.

I have done all of those things, sometimes simultaneously and not always gracefully, and it means I can sit with creators, influencers and founders and understand what they're navigating on a deeper level.

I'm not the coach who'll hand you a framework and send you on your way, I'm the one who'll help you figure out what's actually going on

Most of my clients arrive having already tried the self-help books, meditation, and wellbeing apps. They're not lacking information, they're lacking someone who can help them understand themselves, why they self-sabotage, why success doesn't feel like enough, why they're exhausted despite

doing everything right. That's where coaching powered by psychology is different. It goes deeper than tactics. It works at the level of identity, beliefs, patterns and psychology (the stuff that actually determines whether everything else works or not). If this sound like your vibe, keep reading.

I'm a coaching psychologist, researcher, entrepreneur, serial side-quester

MEET JEMMA

And depending on the day someone who is absolutely thriving or seriously questioning all of her life choices (sometimes within the same hour). I've built multiple businesses in the online space, closed one due to burnout, written research on the psychology of coaching, and spent 500+ hours sitting with some of the most driven, creative humans I've ever met. I have an MSc in Coaching & Positive Psychology and EMCC Senior Practitioner accreditation. I also have excellent taste in coffee and a pathological inability to have just one career.

MY "WHY"

MY PHILOSOPHY

WHO I HELP

I closed my agency because I burned out

MEET JODIE

Not the aesthetically pleasing, journalling-by-a-window kind, the proper kind, where everything stops working and you don't know who you are without the thing you built. Nobody supported me through that because I couldn't find anyone who truly understood the specific psychological cost of creating a version of success that looked great but felt rubbish. Like, how dare I want to make money AND feel happy?? Is that not a thing??

MY "WHY"

MY PHILOSOPHY

WHO I HELP

I believe in success built from the inside out

MEET JODIE

Chasing metrics, performing wellness, optimising everything eventually collapses. Real, sustainable success is built from the inside out. That means understanding your psychology, your patterns, your relationship with visibility and validation and rest. It means building something that can survive a bad algorithm day, a slow month, or a full identity wobble. It also means finding genuine joy in the process not the curated kind, but the radical kind.

MY "WHY"

MY PHILOSOPHY

WHO I HELP

Creators, entrepreneurs and personal brand builders who are 'successful' on the outside

MEET JODIE

And feeling not so successful on the inside. Entrepreneurs navigating the gap between where they are and how they thought it would feel. People who are burning out, people-pleasing, or losing themselves inside the brand they've built. And anyone who's ever Googled 'is it normal to feel like this'  or 'wtf am I doing with my life?!' at 3am after a 'great' month.

500+ hours of coaching

14+ years in the online world

psychologically grounded

I’ve been coaching for over six years across 1:1 and group settings. I have carried out research into the psychology of coaching and I also offer supervision to other coaches so I quite literally live and breathe coaching (shot an espresso every time I say coaching!!)

I’ve spent over a decade (wtf!!) building brands and businesses online, which means I understand the realities, pressures, and blurred boundaries of making money in a URL world (*does a TikTok dance to pay the rent*)

TLDR; I've got expensive bits of paper framed on my wall. My work is rooted in psychology: I have a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Forensic Psychology, MSc in Coaching Psychology & Positive Psychology, EMCC Senior Practitioner accreditation.

I built it, burned it down, and rebuilt it with the psychology to do it differently.

In my early career I did everything the gurus told me to do. I hustled, I scaled, I optimised, I performed. I built an agency I was proud of and ran it into the ground trying to keep it perfect. When I burned out and closed it, I didn't just lose a business I lost the identity I'd built around it, and I had absolutely no idea what my next move was.

Going back to study wasn't just a career pivot. It was me trying to understand what had happened to me, and whether what I'd experienced was as common as I suspected. (It was. It is. Research confirmed it, and so has everyone I've worked with since.)

I came back to the online world as a psychologist and coach because I wanted to give people what I didn't have = someone who understood both worlds deeply, and could help them navigate the intersection without losing themselves in it.

I'm the coach who grew up making her MySpace page look iconic, watched the internet go from a fun place to an entire economy, built businesses in it, burned out from it, got a Masters degree to understand it, and then came back to help other people survive it.

I'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE....
