My story isn't unique. I consistently speak to high-achievers, ambitious bad asses and driven creatives whizzing through their days doing *stuff* only to feel uninspired, unfulfilled and unaligned. My 4-week coaching intensives are designed to transform a specific area of your business within a short time frame for maximum impact ASAP. Whether you are an intensive get-shit-done kind of person or you just don’t feel super comfortable investing in long-term coaching (for 101 valid reasons), the intensive gives you the opportunity to be met where you are right now, carve out a new path and walk down it together.

Intensives are there to help you create a business that is truly you-shaped and overcome any obstacles and mindset crap that might get in the way of the life you deserve to live.

As with all coaching, it’s important that your business and life comes from you to avoid further misalignment and burnout. Decision-fatigued you might be thinking “but Jemma I can’t even think straight”, so the intensives are collaborative. I will help pull ideas and thoughts out of you with the right questions, I will challenge you to go deeper and be true to yourself, and then we will co-create a 30 day plan.

MEET JEMMA

It’s fair to say that I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt for everything we’re talked about on this page so far. In 2020 I ended up closing down a successful business, not because it wasn’t doing well, but because I wasn’t. There had been moon sized red-flags and alarms going off 24/7 in my brain warning me that I needed to pause and reroute but I was so stuck in an achievement and perfection mindset that I either ignored my inner voice, or told myself it could wait until *insert future goal* is achieved.

I listened so much to external voices that I lost my own and I ended up hurtling and hustling my way down a path that wasn’t mine. My to-do list was never-ending, my inbox constantly refilling, and I lost the ability to enjoy my life amongst all the noise, pressure and commitments. I knew something needed to change but I didn’t feel I had time or the head space to implement anything. I couldn’t think clearly and so I just kept going, until I no longer could.

After taking a break, making lots of changes in my business, going back to do an MSc in Psychology and becoming a burnout researcher, you could say that I have all the personal experience backed up by qualifications and accreditation.

Given my qualifications, my coaching is always psychology-infused. This means that if I think it’s relevant I might share the theory behind some of the things we talk about, mention some interesting research findings, or use science-backed tools. It also means I can go slightly deeper into the mindset work given my 10+ years of studying the brain and behaviour. My methods are a combination of coaching, positive psychology, emotional intelligence, mindset and leadership work. I’ve also been working in the online business space for 14 years, much of which was spent working as a service provider before I started working as a coach. I am also involved in solopreneur burnout research so I also have a solid understanding of what causes and prevents burnout in business.

FAQS

Change does take time and this is why I stopped offering my 90 minute calls on their own. I didn’t feel they offered enough support to create long-lasting change. However, shorter term coaching such as this has been shown to create impact providing it is solution-focused, which is why I’ve integrated an actual plan into the offer. If you are looking for something longer term, I offer 6 month coaching packages too.

Is 4 weeks enough time for a transformation?

It’s common that clients are navigating at least two of the three ‘themes’ (purpose, goals and burnout) at any one time because they are linked and can cause each other. When selecting your theme I would advise you to pick whatever you believe to be having the most impact. It’s likely that when we start working through one area, others will begin to fall into place. Having said that, if you feel your business needs a complete overhaul, my Transformation Days are likely a better fit as they come with a structured framework and more face to face coaching time

What if I am dealing with a million different issues and not just the one?

Purpose mapping is for you if you aren’t sure what your purpose is whereas goal setting is for you if you are clear on your purpose but don’t know how to bring it into reality. If you aren’t 100% sure on your purpose, I would recommend opting for Purpose Mapping because purpose is step 1 and goals are step 2.

Do I book purpose mapping or goal setting?

Some of the most common symptoms are: struggling to focus, never letting yourself have time off, feeling guilty when you aren’t working, being unable to make decisions, not being able to think clearly, feeling overwhelmed all the time, feeling tired, spending lots of hours working but not being very productive, feeling resentful toward your clients, thinking about business 24/7.

How do I know if I’m heading toward burnout?

Some of the most common actions are: saying yes when you mean no, overdelivering for your clients, trying to make every single thing you do perfect, following someone else’s advice or working toward someone else’s goals without making sure they are aligned for you, being unclear about your values or vision, being afraid to upset others, underchanging, having no time off, sitting at your laptop all day.

What actions lead to burnout?

We will have a private channel on Slack where we can exchange messages, voicenotes, documents and anything else relevant to the coaching process. I check Slack twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
