One of the things I found most fascinating in my other life as a burnout researcher (just call me Hannah Montana) were the findings around how our identity evolves to the point where we all outgrow our current work and need to pivot to avoid burnout. For employees this might mean asking for a promotion or looking for a new role. For entrepreneurs though this means taking the reins and pivoting your business to fit the new you but so many of us resist making changes.
Without taking the time to edit your business to fit you (like that dreamy pair of leggings), you end up shoving your current self into a business that no longer fits your current self (like that pair of jeans that no longer do up but you refuse to throw away).

Design Your Day - When you reserve your day you will be sent a questionnaire to get a better idea of your vibe so I can personalise the day to you. You might be a beach babe who wants to get in the sea and have a picnic on the beach, or a cocktail queen who wants to work while sipping cocktails with a sea view and get some cute content for the gram.
Pre-Work - There will be a small amount of pre-work so that I better understand you and your business currently and we can dive straight in on our day.
Prep - You will be sent a ‘kit list’ (school trip style) with anything you need to bring or wear depending on the day you have designed, an itinerary of your personalised day, and any other info you need.

9-4(ish) day of coaching with a scattering of coffees, beach walks and nourishing food. The morning is for rediscovering yourself and your desires while the afternoon is dedicated to rebuilding and integrating your takeaways into your action plan and strategy. Everything we do, drink and eat during the day is included in the price.
Note: each day will differ depending on the client, arrival times, weather etc but will be confirmed before the day itself.
30 Day Slack Support - After your day you will have a month of message or voice note support over slack ensuring that you have me in your pocket as you implement your action plan. Whether it’s a celebration of wins, a pep-talk on a hard day, or a rerouting of the plan, you won’t be on your own. If you would like to extend your support beyond the 30 days, this is something we can add on too.
Typically when a client is experiencing a business that is no longer them-shaped, there is no quick fix. There is a lot of unpicking to do to get to the bottom of which parts of the business are no longer working, and it can feel like you don’t know where to begin because there are so many interlinked and overlapping parts. I like to see it as a big knot that needs unpicking before you can turn it back into a bow again or a lego house you have to knock down before you can rebuild it. In short, this work takes time, will likely involve following unexpected tangents that arise, and I believe the best way to do this work is through a series of tried and tested, psychology-infused exercises. These exercises form the Thrive Framework and take the client through the process of identifying their strengths, reconnecting with their values, allowing themselves to dream big about their future and then infusing these findings into a rebuilding of their business and wider life before we can co-create some goals and a plan for moving forwards. I believe these tasks are most impactful when done in one day without external distraction or interruption in an environment that inspires creativity and clarity.

It’s fair to say that I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt for everything we’re talked about on this page so far. In 2020 I ended up closing down a successful business, not because it wasn’t doing well, but because I wasn’t. There had been moon sized red-flags and alarms going off 24/7 in my brain warning me that I needed to pause and reroute but I was so stuck in an achievement and perfection mindset that I either ignored my inner voice, or told myself it could wait until *insert future goal* is achieved.
I listened so much to external voices that I lost my own and I ended up hurtling and hustling my way down a path that wasn’t mine. My to-do list was never-ending, my inbox constantly refilling, and I lost the ability to enjoy my life amongst all the noise, pressure and commitments. I knew something needed to change but I didn’t feel I had time or the head space to implement anything. I couldn’t think clearly and so I just kept going, until I no longer could.
After taking a break, making lots of changes in my business, going back to do an MSc in Psychology and becoming a burnout researcher, you could say that I have all the personal experience backed up by qualifications and accreditation.
Given my qualifications, my coaching is always psychology-infused. This means that if I think it’s relevant I might share the theory behind some of the things we talk about, mention some interesting research findings, or use science-backed tools. It also means I can go slightly deeper into the mindset work given my 10+ years of studying the brain and behaviour. My methods are a combination of coaching, positive psychology, emotional intelligence, mindset and leadership work. I’ve also been working in the online business space for 14 years, much of which was spent working as a service provider before I started working as a coach. I am also involved in solopreneur burnout research so I also have a solid understanding of what causes and prevents burnout in business.

Yes! This is something I will ask about when you reserve your date. The meeting place, lunch locations and everything in between can all be adapted depending on each client's needs.
Me and my freckles are a hard no! While we can spend time outdoors if the weather allows us to, we won’t be outdoors all day.
The beaches I typically work from are in North Devon however which beach depends on the type of day you want to have and what you share with me in your questionnaires. North Devon is fairly out of the way and isn’t ideal for public transport however the nearest train station is Barnstaple and from there you will be able to get to the beaches on a bus (or taxi). If you are using public transport and need a later start time or need a beach that is as easy as possible to get to, just let me know and I’ll work this into our day. If you are driving, I can advise you on local car parks.
No. You are welcome to travel to Devon and back on the same day, but do bear in mind that you don’t want to arrive exhausted before we’ve started and you might also want time to explore the sea front or local towns before travelling home. If you choose to travel there and back the same day but the timings don’t work I might be able to start later or finish earlier, just let me know when you reserve your date.
Absolutely! I’m not affiliated with any hotels or anything like that but I know the area well and so I’m more than happy to recommend places you can stay, restaurants you should check out, activities you can book or beaches that are not to be missed.
As a coeliac girly, I get how stressful it can be to go somewhere not knowing if you will be able to eat. I will ask about any dietary requirements before our day and find options that work for both of us. I will also run the options past you so that you can see menus beforehand and I’m more than happy to contact a cafe/restaurant on your behalf to ensure meals are safe for you to eat.

I have come to love the beach in all weather. There is something beautiful about the sky and the sea looking different every single day and it being so unpredictable. If it were to rain on your day, we would enjoy the sea views from inside somewhere warm and swap our outdoor walks for walks around the arcades or similar (or we can grab our wellies and head outside anyway!) I only tend to run Transformation Days in Spring, Summer and Autumn so I’m yet to have an absolute wipe-out of a day weather wise.
We will have a private channel on Slack where we can exchange messages, voicenotes, documents and anything else relevant to the coaching process. I check Slack twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
